Not paying attention?

So today as I was cleaning other parts of the house, I thought I'd entertain the kids with some cartoons for a while. Unbeknown est to me Caitrin found a sheet of smiley face stickers from her older siblings stuff. While watching the TV, she made a rainbow. How pretty. But I'm not digging that it's on my hardwood floor. Right now she's in the process of picking them up. Little turkey!!

When I caught her, she just smiled and kept going.

Colfax

Today we went to Colfax to watch one of Cooper's football game. We had to head up there early since it takes a little while to travel up there and he had a 9 o'clock game. At 7 o'clock it was a mere 40 degrees. I under estimated the weather and didn't bring enough for me, but I did bring a few extra fleece blankets for the kids. Since we got up there a little too early we decided to go play on the near by playground. Caitrin warmed up a little when she started running around sliding and swinging.
Even the big kid wanted to play!

The playground was kind of cool. They had an old school merry-go-round. I haven't seen one of them in years. The kids all got sick when Uncle Ryno spun them as fast as he could.

The Tigers,( Coop's team) did really well. They won and so this left them undefeated. Poor Trent, he being only in 2nd grade, and to play football you have to be in 3rd grade, he's itching to play. Hanging out on the side lines watching every move.

Conversations....

Setting: Caiti Mae standing in her door way, staring at a hurricane ridden room

Caiti, with her hands on her hips: Umm..my room what a mess.

Daddy: Yes it is, maybe we should clean it up today.

Caiti: Na, my mom will clean it for me.

Grabs one of her babies, turns and walks out the door.

Crap what have I taught her???!!!

So uncultured...

We thought that we would experience the local Chinese cuisine and try the Panda Express. Caiti tried to get a handle on the chopsticks, daddy tried to show her how.
Tarren had a good handle on them, she got most of her food in her mouth
Caiti got bored trying and it came to this.......

Trent on the other hand.... well we just left it at that.

Changes....

I've spent about an hour trying to find the right back ground for this bloggy thingy, and I think I found the one I like. I'm still trying to figure out the right color of font so it isn't so hard to read it. Hope you like the changes.

On the road back to "normal"

It's been a month since Eric has started at ATK, and that means that I haven't slept, done wifely duties, or stayed on any sort of schedule since then. I find me building my life around Eric when he's awake. I do absolutely do nothing when he's awake because I want to spend it with him. Then when he's asleep, I try to be quite so I don't do much then either. I'm finding I can't win for losing. I'm going three steps forward just to fall five steps back. Laundry just doesn't seem to ever go down, dishes aways seem to appear in the sink, and the floors seem dirtier more so then ever.

Tonight I found myself trying to be "normal" again. I actually made dinner by 5 pm. It's been a while since I've done that. I cleaned up, put things away and kept going with the laundry. My floors are swept, the dogs are fed, and 1 kid so far is in bed. I'm not saying that I'm used to not having my husband around, but things are starting to fall back in to place. My upside down world is slowly starting to turn. If I can get the sleep to come more easy, I think my world would turn more rapidly. But I don't see that happening as fast as I wish. "Normal" still seems so distant for me, maybe one day, when I actually get some sleep, I just might wake up from this hazey world to a one more welcoming.

Child Labor Laws?

Today I took the older two to work with me since I'm really behind on all sorts of stuff. Right now we are working on sending out 4000 letters to our customers. That means I have fold the letters, stuff the envelopes, glue them shut, and meter them to go out to the mail. So why not bring in the Calvary and have them do some the the work. They were happy to be paid on a rice krispy treats and a pack of gum.

Ohhhh...Peace...

A few weeks ago I moved Caitrin's room upstairs with her sister, and I moved the boy downstairs. I had a hard time dealing with the fact that Caiti was so far away. I wouldn't be able to hear her if she cries or gets up in the middle of the night. I haven't gotten much sleep to begin with since Eric started at ATK working nights and weekends. But last night Caiti slept in her room all night all by her self. No crying and no sleep walking. And I got a good nights rest sleeping next to my husband since it was his night off.

Don't ask me how she can sleep on her bed with all her toys and shoes.

The Parade

This year Inland Cellular had float in the Parade, and they need all sorts of kids. Naturally I have 3 so I volenteered my older two. I did threaten their lives if they didn't behave since I REFUSED to be on the float. But I also volunteered my nephews as well.

Here is all the kids on the float...

Caiti Mae and Aydann waiting for the parade...

I thought this was an awesome fire truck....

Permanent????

I guess you could say that this is ALL my fault. I was the one who left the permanent marker out, and didn't put it away when I was done. I now am resorting to brainstorming on how to get this off my walls. I have tried the "Magic Eraser". Yea, Mr. Clean and his strong muscles couldn't cut it. I tried nail posh remover and that didn't work either (just look close at the picture below). That took off the paint as well as the marker, CRAP! I do know I have left over paint that we used to paint the living room. Trouble with that is I have two colors close to the same and I'm not sure what's what. The funny thing is Caiti tattled on herself on the one behind the couch. I found the one by the speaker. She did her time in the time out corner. The real punishment is going to come when dad gets home in the morning. It'll be the ear full I'm gonna get for leaving the marker in little hands reach.
This might give me an reason to run to the hardware store and purchase new paint. I now have an excuse to change up my living room.
